Message from the Pastor:

Have you ever felt like this “Something is Missing”? Day after day you have the same old routine and it doesn’t seem to be getting you any further ahead in life. You have no sense of purpose or gratification. Perhaps spinning your wheels has simply become the norm. The weight of life’s burdens seems to be dragging you down. Pretty soon, your spinning wheels with the added weight seem to have you stuck in a place with no hope.
I would like to offer you the only true Hope… Jesus Christ. The only begotten Son of God said “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:29, 30. He offers to bear your burdens with you, so there is no need to go it alone.
If you are searching for peace of mind and soul, He offers you His peace: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27.
Yes, Jesus cares for you. He, God the Son, became a man to redeem you from the consequences of sin. In His 33 years on earth, He suffered rejection, abuse and cruelty. He endured hunger, thirst and pain. And He died upon the Cross of Calvary to fulfill Gods plan of salvation: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5. When He arose from the grave, He triumphed over sin and death, promising all who will receive Him eternal life: “Because I live, ye shall live also,” John 14:19.
You can be sure that this very moment Jesus cares for you and wants to meet your needs. For the risen Savior is both God and man: being man, He understands your every need; being God, He is able to deliver you. He alone has the power to forgive your sins and give you new, eternal life: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9.
Only Jesus can fill that void of “Something Missing”. He is that something. Why not let Him be your Friend and Companion? Through His Word, the Bible, He reveals a new way of living in harmony with God and man. He himself stands at the right hand of God in Heaven representing those who have put their thrust in Him. “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16.
Yes, come to Jesus Christ today! Receive Him as your Savior and Friend. Pray the best way you can, nothing fancy, no big words. Pray and simply ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sins and come into your heart and be the Lord and Savior of your life.
If you prayed this prayer and meant it “Congratulations you’ve just become a Born Again Christian”! Or perhaps you just want to talk with someone about what you’ve read, please give me a call either way. It may be that you are looking for a Home Church, a place with a warm family atmosphere. I invite you to come out and see for your self Christ’s Church in motion. We here at Andover First Baptist Church, stand on the Word of God and invite you to come and stand right along side of us.
Living for Christ,
Pastor Frank Troutman
