Our Ministries
Sunday School
Classes for all ages. We have various classes ranging from Pre-K to Seniors, we teach fundamental Bible based curriculum that will challenge us to learn God’s word in its entirety. Our Sunday School classes are interactive, which helps to give us a better understanding of what the Holy Bible teaches. We believe that God's word is inerrant and “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16. It is an instruction manual for Good Christian living.
Junior Church
Junior Church takes place the same time as the Worship service and is for 2nd - 6th graders. It is a smooth transition for our young people to go from Sunday School to Junior Church. All the children meet in the downstairs for a time of singing, prayer and testimony time followed by a Bible Study geared for their age group. Each quarter the children work on committing scripture to memory. This quarter they are working on the "B" Attitudes. Young people who are 7th grade and up should be in the Worship service. Any young person is welcome to sit in the Worship Service.
Children's Church
Children's Church also takes place the same time as the Worship service and is for 3 year olds - Kindergarteners. It is a smooth transition for our little ones to go from Sunday School to Children's Church. The children meet upstairs for a wiggle buster, singing, crafts, snacks and of course prayer and Bible study for their age group. All the children are encouraged to practice memory verses to hide the Word in their hearts.
Nursery
Nursery is available during Sunday School and Sunday Worship for all children 2 years old and under. It is also provided on an as needed basis for other services.
Youth Group
Youth Group meets every Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and is made up of young people from 6th -12th grades. Our youth group is an intricate part the Church's outreach. Not only do they have fun activities such as bowling, and tubing trips, they are very active in sharing the Gospel. A typical Youth Group meeting would consist of singing, sharing testimonies, participating in devotionals and finishing off with a game or two. We believe that reaching the youth of today will give us the Church of tomorrow.
Wednesday Night Bible Study
Bible study takes place every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. It is a combination of Prayer Meeting/Bible Study. Prayer requests are taken and prayed for by the Pastor. This is a wonderful time to bring burdens and petitions to the Lord. We also encourage Testimonials at this time. “How has the Lord been working in your life?” We then have a comprehensive Bible Study. We study the Bible, not man’s traditions or history. Be sure to bring your singing voice, as we do sing a few Hymns as well. This is a perfect service for that mid-week filling of the Holy Spirit. If your Spiritual gauge is low why wait until Sunday to fill it.
Wednesday Wigglers
Wednesday Wigglers is our Wednesday Night program for kids PreK-Kindergarten at 7:00 p.m. It is an age appropriate structured learning program to instill Biblical values and scripture memory into our youngsters. It's a great mid-week "Spiritual Fill-up" for the kids.
Wednesday Tweens
Our Wednesday Night Tween Group is for kids 1st - 5th grade at 7:00. Our goal is to provide a structured program to teach Biblical principles and values along with some life application followed by snacks and games.
Eva's Friendship Circle
Our Ladies group, named after the local missionary that started the group, meet the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.. This dynamic group of ladies is an intricate part of the Church. They are very involved in community and charitable events, missionary outreach, building and fundraising projects. The women come together for a good time of devotions and fellowship in the Lord. All are welcome and encourage to come.
Food Pantry Ministry
We have a food pantry ministry that ministers to all those in need of food. As the Lord gives, we are able to provide. It is stocked only by God's graciousness through donations from the church congregation and various members of the community.
The Clothing Closet Ministry
The Clothing Closet is our newest ministry. It provides free clothing to all those in need. Each person is able to receive up to 10 free articles of clothing per day. It is located in a seperate building at 28 Main St., Andover, NY. The hours of operation are Mondays 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. And Fridays from 10:00-1:00. Donations are accepted during hours of operation. Each person who visits this ministry, is, more importantly, presented with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Release Time Bible Club
The church is the sponsor and site location of the Release Time Bible Club of Andover Central School.
Men's Ministry
